The new inductive factor 1 all-metal sensors in M18 from Balluff owe their existence to a new patented technology and stand for maximum functional reliability in particularly harsh environments. With their complete stainless steel housing with IP68 protection, they are ideally suited for detecting changing objects (steel, aluminium, brass, copper, etc.), which they detect with an identical switching distance (without reduction factor). They are extremely reliable even in direct contact with the object to be detected. The robust active surface is designed for shocks, mechanical loads and abrasive media.
The Factor 1 all-metal sensors have an extended temperature range and are resistant to magnetic fields, i.e. they are not affected by strong electromagnetic fields such as can occur in induction hardening or welding systems. With the optional ceramic coating, welding spatters are no problem either.
