Increasing online shopping before and during the pandemic situation is pushing Swiss Post’s distribution centres to their limits.

In cooperation with the Swiss Post, we have developed a holistic solution that relieves the package distribution centres. Smaller items are automatically recognised; they are processed and delivered via the letter dispatch service.

For this purpose, the items are weighed and recorded using the sending number. The postcodes are read out in seven different formats with automatic text recognition (OCR – optical character recognition) and the items are processed accordingly.

Our solution is integrated into the existing processes and systems of the Post AG via a variety of hardware and software interfaces. We act as a general contractor, develop technical solutions and coordinate all tasks for the overall project.

Swiss Post AG is very satisfied with the performance of the overall system so far.
