About us
Since 1971, we have consistently combined traditional craftsmanship with high-tech: As a specialist for automation along the entire supply chain, the Westfalia Group designs, implements and modernizes highly efficient and reliable automated storage and logistics systems worldwide. The company was founded at its German headquarters in Borgholzhausen. In 2023, it moved to a state-of-the-art, flexible and energy-efficient planning and manufacturing facility.
The Westfalia Group has 400 employees in Europe and in the USA. Together with our U.S. sister company Westfalia Technologies, Inc., we are there for our customers around the clock at seven locations in Europe and others in the Americas.
More than 500 customers place their trust in our know-how. Westfalia's logistics systems are in daily use with more than 1,000 of our storage and retrieval machines in 20 countries. Since 2005, our systems have been controlled by our Savanna.NET® Warehouse Execution System (WES).

As a general contractor offering key technologies such as Satellite® and telescopic forks, as well as gentle pallet handling, we specialize in single-deep, double-deep, and compact automated multi-deep storage systems. From initial consultation and on-time implementation to comprehensive 24/7 services and service packages, IT/PLC services and support, safety training, rack inspection and maintenance, and parts management.
We develop, manufacture, and implement storage and retrieval machines, conveyor systems including PLCs, and the powerful Savanna.NET® Warehouse Execution System, which combines software functionalities for warehouse management and material flow control. As a member of the WORTMANN Group, we can also provide the entire TERRA IT infrastructure.
We completely modernize third-party and in-house systems in the areas of mechanics, controls, material flow, and warehouse management software for long-term, resource-efficient, and safe operation. For you, this means: You get your intralogistics from a single source - made in Germany.
