EPG (Ehrhardt Partner Group) has added a Fuel/Charge Stop Optimization feature to its cloud-based route planning solution Greenplan. The new function plans the most cost- and time-efficient refueling and charging stops along a route, taking into account fuel and energy prices, vehicle data, range, detours and time windows. It helps reduce energy costs, increase arrival time reliability and ease “range anxiety” for electric vehicles. The feature supports mixed and fully electric fleets, integrates via REST API into existing TMS, ERP or telematics systems, and can also be used directly via the Greenplan cloud—making it a practical tool for both long-haul transport and high-frequency urban delivery.
