G. Baumgartner AG, together with BITO-Lagertechnik Bittmann AG, is setting a pioneering example in Swiss warehouse logistics. One of the largest and most modern mobile cantilever racking systems in the country is being built at the Hagendorn site in the canton of Zug. At the heart of the solution is the intelligent NT-CH-Syncro® control system, which enables fully synchronized, safe, and efficient movement of all carriages.
With the goal of storing sash and window frames in the smallest possible space, space-saving and safe, a high-performance system with a total of 17 individually controllable racking systems and 33 carriages is being planned and implemented. A project that serves as a model for the entire industry. Project implementation will begin in September 2025.
The key technical specifications are unparalleled:
– 17 mobile cantilever racking systems for the storage of window components
– 33 trolleys, each up to 60 m long and with a load capacity of up to 400 tons per trolley
– 1,705 linear meters of flat rail, precisely leveled and embedded for barrier-free access
– 4 main control units with NT-CH-Syncro® for central system management
– Aisle width: 2,460 mm
– Total system height: 5,500 mm | Clear room height: min. 7,600 mm
A great deal of attention is also paid to safety and operating standards, which meet the highest requirements:
– Integrated personnel protection system
– Emergency stop at every control station
– Acoustic and visual warning signals when a trolley is moving
– Intuitive controls with clear user guidance
– Commissioning and training directly from BITO
