
Completely closed: the HB3 Pallet Box
Hygiene is a crucial factor in technical and logistical processes involving pharmaceutical and chemical products, food and cosmetics. Craemer, pioneer in plastics processing, has developed the new HB3, a pallet box entirely made of PE: hygienic, robust, ideal for this sector. With its latest development, the specialist in plastics offers a world first innovation: HB3 is the first and only completely closed pallet box on the market with welded runners. The new HB3 box in industrial size (outer dimensions, l x w x h: 1200 x 1000 x 790 millimetres) consists of two one-piece injection-moulded elements: the box body as the top part and the pallet with three welded runners as the bottom part. Another special feature: A patented weld seam geometry for joining both plastic elements ensures maximum impact resistance and break strength; the weld seam is contour-milled and therefore almost invisible. The HB3 box, with a tare weight of approx. 42 kilograms (without reinforcement profiles), can carry a volume of max. 580 litres and withstand a stacking load of 5000 kilograms. The box is extremely rigid thanks to the welding of top and bottom part. Three additional metal reinforcement profiles (available as an option) permit a further increase of bending stiffness. The exact payload of this new development is currently being determined. R&D experts from Craemer call it the “elephant among pallet boxes”. According to them, in relation to its size is the strongest on the market. Construction and design of the box body ensure optimum hygiene. According to the manufacturer, the completely closed pallet box has excellent cleaning properties and has no nooks or crannies in which bacteria may settle. The seamless design, the smooth inner walls and the welded runners allow easy emptying, cleaning and drying. The almost invisible contour-milled welding seam, the clean and clear lines, the minimal ribbing and the rounded shape also contribute to this.

CONVEYOR SYSTEMS FOR PALLETS
The new-generation of the standardized pallet conveyor elements, developed and manufactured by Gilgen, offer efficient, safe and economical transport of goods and materials. The modular design of the components and the energy-saving, frequency-controlled drive technology enable flexible, in-house transport of EURO pallets, half pallets and plastic pallets with a payload of up to 1,500 kg. The identification and testing of the pallets contributes to a high degree to the reliability of the systems. The pallets are checked for weight, foot clearance control, hanging down running boards, pallet deflection control, as well as displaced or oversized loads. Thus, disturbances in the automatic conveyor and storage facilities can be avoided. The robust and low-maintenance conveyor technology offers high delivery quality and reliability of the supply chain in the overall system and guarantees the gentle transport with high availability. With this system technology, high-performance shuttle cars are used with one or multiple-place conveyors. With conveying speeds up to 3 m/s and intelligent electronics, high capacity requirements are met in an optimal fashion. Two lift concepts are available for vertical transport of pallets over multiple floors: electromechanical or hydraulic.

Intermediate storage for empty roll containers uses a lot of space, which can be better used for other purposes. Here we offer a specially developed technology with toothed belts. The roll containers are deposited onto the conveyor equipment either manually or by forklift and sent to an automatic interim storage unit. Such storage unit systems can also be installed on platforms. As a result, no valuable handling space is occupied.

The hand cords are pre-assembled and equipped with a loop. The cord securing device is pulled from a bundle, wrapped around the pallet, and knotted. The cord can be removed and reused after use. The bornbinder® hand cord for pallet securing thus makes an active contribution to environmental protection and reduces your costs.

Cord strapping
High transport safety is a fundamental requirement to avoid unnecessary delays and costs during delivery. The bornbinder® HBX pallet binder fully automatically ties cord horizontally around pre-palletized goods, such as plastic crates in the beverage industry. Depending on the pallet size, cord strapping is performed at different heights. Thanks to good stretch recovery, the cords have a high tensile strength and hold the pallets securely together.

Inclusion of partners and customers in the digital process With dotiga, all parties involved in the order, transport and billing process (client, freight payer, freight forwarder, transporter, driver) can be integrated using your own dotiga web application including hosting. This cross-company digitalization enables rapid, direct external communication. This means that work steps are outsourced to the areas in which they actually take place. Example: Your subcontractors are able to assign PODs to the corresponding orders directly via the web portal.
